My Reverie

Why the rush where are we headed  !!!  Not a moment to spare , not a thought to share. Such is the modern day dilemma.  As a successful media professional it took a lot of heated debates, sleepless nights, deep  introspection  and some serious soul searching conversations , before I decided to take a sabbatical from a satisfying career to spend some quality time with my son.   I just  wanted to see him grow, just  be there for him when he returned from school, hear his never ending tales, take him for his friend's birthday parties and so on. ! Basically, nurture him and be a full time mom. And make no mistake, it is a full time job with no salary.  It has been a year and a half since I quit my job with a leading television channel.   I will be honest , there were moments when I felt lost and confused,  like a directionless arrow , I missed the  frenetic  pace of my career, the action , the...

LOVE AS WE KNOW IT A relationship can either break or make you ..so from someone who grew up on a surfeit of mush to someone who balks at the idea of happily ever after ...I have come a long way. From nurturing visions of the perefct other to the realization that true happiness evades those who looks for it in others,  I have come a long way. From a hopeless romantic to a true blue cynic , I have come a  long way …but I am not the only one. The concept of unconditional love is redundant in our times of conditions, its so much  easier to walk away than walk through.  So my conclusion is that the only relation where unconditional love can be a reality and not an illusion is parental love.  Romantic love has undergone a paradigm shift in these days of instant gratification. It is just a phase which wears out. Today anyway does not believe in waiting around for destiny happen   Why should I waste my time on one human being when they are so many out there ...

Does love make us weak or does it make us strong? Why is it fatal to fall in love and why is it fall? Why not rise in love? May be, as the emotion is inexplicable and complicated. Love explores a dichotomy of sorts, you win and lose at the same time, and it is like tasting success and failure simultaneously. May be as there are no absolutes in love, there are no rules of the game and the stakes are insurmountably high. Uncertainty is the name of the game, you might meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one, but when you do, you will know why it never worked out with anyone else. LIFE : AS YOU LIKE IT Why do we wait for something or someone all the time , why don’t we just turn around and start with where we are who we are as there will be never a perfect day to start living …. There are no absolutes, no black and white , a lot of blackish white and whitish black and greys, so we need to start where we are , with what we are, who we are and start living ….the way we want to live as they live the life you love and love the life you live.  The question remains why do we need someone’s sanction, someone’s approval to make us happy or find complete contentment.
